China Gas Annual Profit Increases

China Gas Holdings Limited, which is engaged in the investment, construction and management of city gas pipeline infrastructure, distribution of natural gas and LPG, has reported a profit attributable to the owners of the company of HK$953.9 million, or 21.76 cents per basic share, for the year ended March 31, 2012, compared to HK$625.9 million, or 16.31 cents per basic share, for the year ended March 31, 2011.

Revenue for the year ended March 31, 2012 was HK$18.93 billion, compared to HK$15.86 billion, for the year ended March 31, 2011. Gross profit for the year ended March 31, 2012 was HK$3.60 billion, compared to HK$2.91 billion, for the year ended March 31, 2011.

EBIT for the year ended March 31, 2012 was HK$2.56 billion, compared to HK$1.78 billion, for the year ended March 31, 2011.

Wong Sin Yue, Cynthia, Chairman of China Gas, concluded, "Over the last decade we have built a business platform comprising the largest portfolio of city gas concessions in China.
