Fuzhou will construct nine major projects of state-owned companies under the central government before the Cross-Straits Trade Fair this year, relating to petrochemical, grain security, new energy, new materials, trade service, and traffic facilities, according to the municipal economic committee.

Four of the nine projects will have more than 20 billion yuan investment. They are the coal-port-electricity integration project of Shenhua Group, with a total investment of 33.8 billion yuan; and stainless steel deep processing industrial park of BaoSteel, caprolactam project of China Chemical Engineering Group, and coal and electricity integration project of Shenhua Group, with a total investment of 20 billion yuan respectively.

The city is exerting all efforts to accelerate construction of the 22 projects of the central state-owned companies agreed upon since late last year. They include 21 projects signed in Beijing in December with a total investment of 225.6 billion yuan and the 400,000-ton Sinopec Baling project reached in January. In addition to nine projects constructed before May 18, Fuzhou plans to construct four projects before September 8 and another six before the end of the year.
