Shengli Oil Field, the largest oil field under Sinopec, Asia's largest oil refiner, produced 6.83 million metric tons of crude oil in the first quarter of this year, 1.4% more than in the same period of last year.
The oilfield's daily crude oil output was 550,000 barrels during the period, said Sinopec in a statement yesterday.
Shengli Oil Field, the country's second-largest oilfield, aims to produce 27.5 million metric tons of crude oil this year or 551,000 barrels per day.
The oilfield's crude oil output reached 27.34 million metric tons in 2011 or 549,000 barrels per day.
