Alstom (Euronext: ALO) has been awarded a $53m contract to supply GT13E2 gas turbines to Harbin Turbine Company (HTC) in China.
Thee gas turbines will be used at Huaneng Power International's (HPI) 517 MW Tongxiang combined cycle power plant located in the Chinese province of Zhejiang.
The latest contract marks Alstom's second gas turbine order awarded by HTC within six months. Alstom is already building a gas-fired power plant in Singapore for Tuas Power Generation (TPG), a fully-owned subsidiary of HPI.
